Short answer: F2-E0 on a Jenn-Air oven signals a shorted or stuck keypad, or a control reading a key as continuously pressed. It can also follow an over-temperature event. We test the keypad and control to find which is holding the fault.

What F2-E0 Indicates

The oven control constantly scans the keypad. If it reads a key as stuck down, either from a failed membrane or a shorted control input, it posts F2-E0 and often beeps and locks out input. The code is the control reporting that the keypad is not behaving normally.

Keypad Versus Control

The fault lives in either the membrane keypad or the control board that reads it. We test by isolating the keypad; if the fault clears with the keypad disconnected, the membrane is the culprit, and if it persists, the control board is. This avoids replacing the wrong part.

Over-Temperature Link

F2 codes can also appear after an over-temperature event, where a relay or sensor let the cavity run hot. If the oven has been overheating, we check the sensor and relay as well, then replace the failed part and verify normal operation.

Frequently Asked Questions

How Do I Fix a Jenn-Air F2-E0 Error?
Determine whether the membrane keypad or the control board is holding the key stuck by isolating the keypad, then replace the faulty part. If it followed overheating, check the sensor and relay too.
Can I Clear F2-E0 Myself?
Cutting power can clear it briefly, but if the keypad or control is faulty it returns. The stuck-key source needs to be found and replaced.
Is F2-E0 Dangerous?
It usually just locks out the controls, but because it can follow an over-temperature event, an oven that has been running hot should be checked before further use.
